Coach Development Day

Rugby Development Day 2022

Rugby PA is excited to partner with the EPRU and MARC to announce our Rugby Development Day for 2022. The goal of this event is to again create a day that helps prepare and advance the knowledge of the coaches from Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas. Using resources from both USA Rugby, Major League Rugby, and The Rugby Site, we will be offering a coaches development course, Level 1 Coaching Certification course, and Level 1 Referee Certification Course. The three different programs are designed to allow a coach and referee from any level to come and get value from the event.

This years event will take place on Saturday, December 3rd at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, PA. Those who will be registering for the Level 1 Coach Certification or Level 1 Referee Certification, will do so using the link below (via USA Rugby Website). The cost of this course is $125 and includes lunch. Those who will be attending the Coaches Development course can register using the link below. The cost for the Coaches Development Course is $75 and also includes lunch.

How To Register for Development Course

For those coaches who already have their Level 1 certifications, or non-coaches, we invite you to join us for a Development Course. You'll Have the opportunity to learn from some of the best rugby minds in the world, including former New Zealand All Backs Kieran Read and Andy Ellis. Working side by side with our guest speakers both in a classroom and on a pitch, you'll have the chance to sharpen your coaching skill set. How to Register for L1 Certification Courses

Below are the steps to register for the L1 Coach Certifaction and L1 Referee Certification Courses. This is done through your Profile on the Rugby Xplorer Registration system. If you have not already registered with Rugby Xplorer for this season, you will need create a profile to register for the course.

1. Access the USA Rugby Learning Center from your "My Profile" page in Rugby Xplorer. Log in here. 

2. Once on your "My Profile" page, click on "Learning Center" from the left-hand menu.

3. Select your Profile

4. Click on the "Course Catalog"

5. Select which course you want to register for (L1 Coach or L1 Referee)

6. Select the course in "Manheim, PA"

7. Add course to cart, and check out
