Rugby PA is excited to announce a the Fall 2024 Sevens Season. We have put together a complete schedule for this upcoming fall, concluding with a Fall State Championship on Saturday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 3rd at PSU Berks.
Teams a now able to register for the fall season through the Rugby PA Team Registration. Player registration is now open through Rugby Xplorer. The cost will be $120 for High School, and $60 for youth & juniors. The Player registrations will open up at the end of August.
Below you will find the schedule for the fall for both the High School Boys and Girls divisions. We will be tracking total points for the fall season in order to provide a more accurate seeding for the Fall State Championship. Teams will receive points for each match they play at an event (win - 3pts, draw - 2pts, loss - 0pt). These points will be combined for each of the 6 fall events and will be used to seed for the state tournament.
New for 2024 - The top 8 teams in High School Boys will compete in our Championship Bracket at States. All other teams outside that top 8, including any second sides, will compete in our Challengers Bracket. For the High School Girls, all 10 teams will compete in our Championship Bracket at States. The State Championship will now be a 2 day event, will all teams participating on both days.
We have had several U16 Boys and Girls teams register for the fall season. We will be hosting events in October for these clubs. Please contact dhamilton@rugbypa.org if you are interested in entering a Junior team this fall.
Rugby PA will also be using our Fall Sevens Handbook for the 2024 Season. This document outlines everything from registration, competition, rules, and host requirements. This was created in an effort to better communicate all the information to players, parents, coaches, and team administrators. Please review this document prior to the start of the season.
Rugby PA will now collect all individual tournament registrations through the Rugby PA website. This new registration will allow teams to show intent on which events they will participate in this fall, as well as provide your team contact information and submit payment. Teams will have the option to register for all their events at one time, or each event individually. This new process will help streamline the tournament registration, and allow us to assist the hosting clubs in preparing for their event.
The cost for each High School event will be $100 for all Rugby PA Clubs. For out of state clubs, you will pay either $100 or $200, depending on your team registration. Registration for each event will close the Monday before the event (subject to change based on host).
The cost for each Junior U16 event will be $50 for all Rugby PA Clubs. For out of state clubs, you will pay $100. Registration for each event will close the Monday before the event (subject to change based on host).
Teams are not required to enter and certain number of events to be eligible for the fall state championship.
