Rugby PA has announced a transition to Stage 4 of the Return to Play Guidelines effective Monday, February 22nd. Currently, we are in Stage 3, which has allowed teams to return to practice. The move to Stage 4 will allow teams to participate in contact drills in training. This should allow teams adequate time to safely prepare for a move to stage 5 and full contact matches. Controlled contact intra-squad competition (team contact drills) will be permitted during this stage, while all inter-squad competition (scrimmages with other clubs) will still not be permitted. The goal is to transition to Stage 5 in March to allow teams to have preseason scrimmages prior to League play, which is scheduled to begin on Sunday, April 11th.

Clubs are reminded that all participants (including players, coaches, and trainers) must wear masks throughout the entire training sessions. This includes players engaged in drills and games. Teams should also continue to take and record temperature checks at all team activities, and follow all other Return to Play protocols.

Player registration is now available through USA Rugby. Players will now register directly with USA Rugby, with all fees being collected at once. The registration costs will remain the same at $100 for High School players, and $60 for youth. Teams who wish to participate in the 15s divisions must have 15 players registered by Friday, March 12th. This will provide one month to make and changes to the league schedule. Those who do not meet this requirement will be allowed to participate in the Development Divisions.
