As the weather begins to warm in Pennsylvania, the rugby community is back out in full force. The Spring 2022 season will see Rugby PA return to much of its regularly scheduled programs. Two High School Boys Divisions, High School Girls, Junior, and Youth Division will all compete for a State Championship on Sunday May 22, 2022. Rugby PA will also offer development 7s divisions for both High School Boys and Girls, who will use this spring to grow their programs.

The regular season kicks off this weekend for the High School divisions, and the following weekend for the Juniors and Youth. The High School Boys teams will play five rounds of league play before breaking into quarter final matches on May 8th. The High School Girls Division 1 will play six rounds of league games, before being seeded into semifinal matches on May 15th. The Junior and Youth will play their 5 rounds of league games starting on April 3rd.

Rugby PA has shifted away from the double-match weekends for the state finals, and will host all semifinals games the weekend before. This year’s championship event will return to Penn State University Berks Campus, who recently held national semifinals matches for the National Collegiate Rugby competition in the fall of 2021.
