The Allegheny Referees offer the USA Level 1 Officiating Course.  No obligation to referee, but one reason for offering this course now is that you’ll then be eligible to referee matches in August when teams often play "friendlies" , less formal non-league matches. Coaching available!

Taking this course is useful in many ways:
  • Learn the laws ... be the only one at practice who has read the direction book ... have you ever wanted to talk back to the ref ??? - this is your chance.
  • This is a useful and important course for high school and youth  rugby coaches and rugby volunteers.
  • It's a big tent - kids from 7 to 70 are welcome.
  • If you want to stay involved with rugby but don't have the time, this is the solution.
  • This is an excellent way to more understand and enjoy watching your  boy friend or girl friend, son or daughter play rugby.
  • And, last but not least !!  There is a large collegiate rugby tournament three weeks later where clinic participants will have a chance, if they like, to referee and receive referee coaching.
  • Save your club $$$
